ITV gets the “SCX” factorWednesday, May 19th, 2010ITV have ordered five AudioFile SCX upgrades and a 24 fader DMC console to equip their London Studios facilities for HD / 5.1 capability. The DMC has been installed in a brand new dubbing room and the SCX upgrades are being integrated into their existing Logic 1 and Logic 3 consoles which are still going strong after over 15 years use. The SCX upgrades will give ITV compatibility with the latest Avid and Protools software via AAF interchange. In addition, they have been specified with Blu-ray burners and Solid State Drives as well as SCSI drives. The 4 bay housings enable up to 4 x 2 1/2″ SATA drives to be mounted. These can be super-fast Solid State Drives or 300Gb 10000rpm hard drives. The SCSI housing will enable ITV to still use their existing hard drives during the change-over period.
