Capricorn was the worlds first large format digital console (up to 256 signal paths), and was manufactured between 1993 (Abbey Road being the first) and 2001.

105 Capricorns were manufactured, many of which are still in use today in Music, Broadcast and Post production applications.

The CXS Surround option introduced in the late 1990's gave the Capricorn both 5.1 and 7.1 surround capability.

As with most AMS Neve legacy products, replacement parts and support are still available from the factory - extra I/O and DSP cards can still be purchased, as well as possible upgrade options.
